Our story
We built this because movement should belong to everyone.
Calisthenics.org is a free, progressive movement library. No gym membership. No equipment. No “you need to earn it first” energy.
Just your body, a floor, and a path forward.
What we believe
The fitness industry has spent decades telling you that you’re not enough. We don’t do that here.
- Where you start matters less than that you start.
- Consistency beats intensity every time. Especially after 40.
- Progress is personal. Your T3 might be someone else’s T1. That’s fine.
- Real bodies are the only bodies that matter.
The library
We’ve built 120 posts across 11 movement patterns organized into a 5-tier progression system called OG2. T1 is joint prep. T5 is mastery. Most people live between T2 and T4. That’s not failure. That’s the work.
Who built this
Kip is a 20-year educator, instructional designer, and a former state skateboarding champion who’s currently relearning how to move. He’s building this library in public — documenting his own push-up situation, pull-up diary, and first tuck planche attempts — because teaching by doing is the only kind of teaching that holds up.
The Sthenics Network also includes moveseum.com (exercise directory), cali-sthenics.com (FitFiction — a universe of movement characters), and @sthenics on YouTube.
Move. Groove. Repeat. Smooth.
You’re on your way. And we’re here with you.
